An energy analsys was performed for a 100,000 square foot roof in Tennessee comparing the Duro-Last Cool Zone roofing system to the existing black rubber EDPM roof based on the following replacement options.

Estimated savings, option 1: Recover black EDPM as is: $9,307.10/year or $225,065.90/15 years with inflation

Estimated savings, option 2: ADD 1" EPS insulation: $15,019.90/year or $363,213.80/15 years with inflation

Estimated savings, option 3: ADD 1.5" Polyisocyanurate insulation: $18,080.80/yr or $437,233.00/15 years with inflation

The EPA's Energy Star Roofing Calculator and an insulation calculator were used to estimate savings calculations assume electricity costs of $.0886/K WH and gas cost of $1.332/Therm. Actual values may vary.
